Training Venues/ Training Days & Times

Both males and females are welcome

Venue 1- Port Melbourne Community Room

General training includes:  

  • Footwork - stance, balance and weight distribution, forward/backward/sideways movement, sidestepping, switching stance, body shifting.
  • Defence techniques- blocking, dodging, grabbing and throwing, sweeping, checking techniques, breaking from chokes and holds, take down defence, ground defence, seated defence.
  • Attacking and counter attacking techniques- punching, open/closed hand strikes, kicks, knee and elbow techniques, throwing.
  • Conditioning and strengthening- grip, holds and locks, forearms, hands, knuckles, palms, wrists, fingers, elbows, knees, legs, feet, body.
  • Self defence against punches, open/closed hand strikes, kicks, elbows, knees, grabs, lapel holds, shoulder grabs, chokes/headlocks, knife/glass/bottle attacks, staff attacks, multiple opponents and much more. 
  • Step sparring, semi free sparring, free sparring/light contact.
  • Hyong/Tul (Pattern) training.

 

 

Address - Liardet street, Port Melbourne 3207 (Venue situated on top of Coles Port Melbourne, entry from Liardet street or from the back section of the Coles rooftop carpark, free parking is always available ).

Tuesdays   6:45pm-8:30pm 

 

 

Venue 2 - Fishermans Bend Community Centre

Sparring practice includes:

Sparring Drills and Sparring for competition (tournaments) and real world application (single and multiple opponents -SELF DEFENCE ONLY!) – Controlled environment, sparring gear compulsory.
